the masses and less costly. Thus made information available to greater portion of the population, who were hungry for knowledge, helping to raise the literacy rate.
Print presses are still in use today in many types and variations. With all the technological advances we make as a society year to year, it's kind of humbling to think about were the print press originated and all the work that went into it. Any goober with photoshop can make so called art, but it takes a real craftsman to take the time and patience to create something out of a piece of metal or a block of wood, and I think thats why these processes have out lived there creators and are still used to this day.
I feel in this day and age art can be cultivated from most all forms of technology. Though it may not be traditional I find Photocopier art to be experimental to say the least. Photocopier art shows just how far we have progressed as a civilization and that the human need to create will always be prevalent. I enjoy comfort in the fact of people using photocopier's, not for there intended purposes to create art. Which makes me think that no matter what we as a society create there always be those people who experiment with our advancements to create beauty.
